ATV ADVENTURES

In the late 1980s, a local land manager and a County Commissioner decided that linking some of central Utah’s already existing logging and access roads together with smaller two track trails would be a benefit to recreational enthusiasts. Thus was born the now famous Paiute ATV Trail.

The Paiute ATV Trail includes a 260 mile loop through central Utah that takes riders through some of the most beautiful country in the world. Along the trail, riders climb to elevations of over 11,000 feet, enjoy deer, elk and other wildlife and can cross three separate mountain ranges. In all, the Paiute Trail system includes more than 1,000 miles of trail on nearly a million acres of public land - it is truly the adventure of a lifetime.

While visiting central Utah and the Paiute ATV Trail, it is easy to get to and from local lodging facilities, restaurants and other services. Each town along the Paiute Trail has “ATV Friendly” streets allowing you to go right from your door to the trail without having to load and unload your ATVs.

For those who may be interested in organized riding, each year in September the Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree is held in Richfield, Utah. The Jamboree runs for a full week and offers over 70 different guided ride options onto the Paiute and Great Western Trail systems. In addition to the guided rides, riders enjoy dinners, prize giveaways and the opportunity to get together with those from around the nation who enjoy seeing the backcountry from an ATV.
